How You Can Help

Home / How You Can Help

The Koinonia Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.S.

There are a number of ways in which you can help us help others. You may…

  • Donate funds
  • Volunteer your time
  • Become a Sponsor
  • Purchase Dale’s Book “After the Genocide”

By giving to the Koinonia Foundation, you help us continue our vital programs and services in underdeveloped nations. Whether you are a long time Koinonia Foundation supporter or are giving for the first time, thank you for your commitment in assisting countries that are less fortunate.

100% of donations go directly to projects and installation services. We receive an operating grant that allows us to direct your donations to our programs.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome the efforts of the Koinonia Foundation to supply the people of Rwanda with lighting and solar power. Electricity remains elusive for the citizens of Rwanda; only 5% of the population has access to electricity. The Koinonia Foundation is helping to overcome this challenge – one light at a time.

Each solar-powered light, and each school or clinic supplied with solar power, means a child’s life becomes enriched and a family no longer has to depend on kerosene to light their home. Further, the Koinonia Foundation’s efforts to help Rwandan women become entrepreneurs through the sale of K-Lights, is also to be applauded as a very worthwhile project.

I wish to give my personal thanks to the Koinonia Foundation for all the work they do to assist the Rwandan population, especially the rural poor, with assistance from generous donors around the world.

Hon. Eng. Albert Butare
Former Minister of State Energy, Republic of Rwanda
